Mobile home park no longer affordable

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Only found out the park was sold after the fact. New owners conveniently hiding their contact names and numbers and have to deal with the park manager who is clearly on the management side and do not represent residents at all. There is no ambassadorship between residents and owners. In addition, we now have to pay water and trash separately adding another $42.00 a month. By next August lot rent will probably be $400.00 a month which is what they wanted to do last October. Adding another $35.00 a month Total $77.00 a month more in one year's time. Their explanation is "so it will be like the other parks". That is a pure case of price fixing. Where are these people supposed to live who many are on fixed incomes in this park. I do not want a swimming pool or a club house like the other parks. I just want a place to live. This is a bad deal.

Less than a month after signing a new lease, with yet another increase blamed on “water and sewage”, we are delivered an unprofessional letter stating we will need to sign new leases in a month because the property has been sold. Just left on our property, free to blow away in the wind. No company letterhead, no contact info, nothing. The new lease is supposed to increase our lot rent AND we are now responsible for our own water. People had signed in August with their fixed incomes in mind for the following year. I’m not asking to be exempt on paying for what I use but that’s a HUGE chunk of change for some to prepare for. Rent has gone from 300 to 400 in 5 years. So if my water bill isn’t 100 bucks a month, are you going give me the difference of the last 5 years to make up for over charging me? Or how bout take off the monthly pet charge, considering you no longer “pay” for my dog’s drinking and bathing water? Not that you did to begin with because we use bottled and pay a groomer. The manager of the park is a chauvinist religious bully who has more than once talked down to the females in this community, or refers to the bible if he can’t find a way to converse or disagree intelligently. There are numerous police calls in about him, but they can’t do anything because it isn’t criminal. There is no accountability because we don’t have access to his supervisor, or the owners. The playground is a broken down mess, but because they put in one grill and a tiny ride on thing, it’s called improved. The equipment is over 30 yrs old, and the swing set is going to collapse on a kid. One of the chains has been broken and just hanging there for weeks.

Secretely bought Pine Ridge Mobile Park in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Residents received letters in mail on Sept 3. The letters were backdated for August 29th to show they gave us 30 days notice of huge rent icreases taking place on Oct 1st.and to sign a second lease with them this year. Records show they didn't legally own this mobile home park until Sept 3rd.

Yes; this property was sold and the previous owners did not inform the homeowners that they were intending to sell the property. The new owners did inform the homeowners of the purchase after they assumed ownership.

Reasonably; being upset with the previous owner for not informing homeowners of the intent to sell would be more understandable. New owners come with new structure and pricing in most cases.

Reasonably; I have a hard time being upset with someone who tries to purchase, over someone who plans to sell and does so with no notice at all. Please take time to think about this.

Again Mr miller is making excuses for inappropriate behavior of past and new owners

No. The issue wasn't all about previous owners selling the mobile park.

You made it that to distract from the fact that they sent out letters raising rents and wanting us to pay water ect before they even legally owned the mobile home. Letters which were not registered and one was even hand delivered.

Also we have an active lease and are presently paying an increase supposedly for water. Now, you just think about this!

Again another reply that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed another subterfuge normal operating procedure for Mr Miller (manager)

Why does Mr Miller think that his personal opinion means anything to the paying residents of this property this is one of the many issues with Mr Miller he doesn't run the property in a professional Manner it's more about his personal agenda than about him taking care of all of his residents not a select few that are afraid he will evict them if they disagree with him

This is exactly the issue with Mr Miller
